Ruby on the Subway
Mai had a two-week check up after the c-section the other day and we all ventured out on Ruby's favorite means of public transport: the subway. She always woke to toss, turn and kick before her birth, and showed us the opposite this time: complete contentment with the passing of time. Set up in the sling, she slept soundly both ways. (Mai didn't really want to take any photos on the subway. 'We'll look like tourists,' she complained.)
