For Mai's birthday, we amassed for a kite-flying picnic with loads of pals Sunday. The day was perfect, but no wind. At least there were cupcakes, some poorly executed "Ultimate" and at least one heart-shaped sweat stain.

Finally! I got to meet my little Ruby friend! And Boy Howdy is she a keeper! Smarter than the average babe, that one, and cuter too!! It really was like meeting a celebrity for me, as I've kept up with her these past 11 months through pictures only. She is shorter in real life.
