Did Ruby Smile?

RUBY TICKER
Did Ruby smile? We think so. It may have happened yesterday when Joe 'I am the Warrior!' Guerrero and John 'The Trees' Whitaker dropped by, or today, when I handed off an unburped gal to her mom and she lit rip a huge grin. And then a burp.

Also!

* This last Tuesday -- some time between 1pm and 4pm -- Ruby got herself a bit chubby. Mai and I both noticed it. Arms, legs, cheeks -- suddenly a bit plumper.

Meanwhile, in other news:

* Coliseum. Call'm as we see'm.

Right off the heels of a RIH (Ruby is Here) post that cited the attractiveness of the name 'Ruby' as being 'faintly 19th century,' the New York Times today profiles a young Upper East Side writer who writes in Spoiled of (you'd think rather unsympathetic) Upper East Side characters.

In one story, she has one character talking about uptown life:

“Our children had ... nineteenth century servant’s names like Ruby or Stella.”

Yes!, and no! -- she's not available to serve the wealthy.

  3. 'The Trees,' by the way, is a popular single from the pop/prog band Rush. It links with the idea of 'Forest' Whitaker, you see. Ruby's into these wordplays.
